NPS Tier 1 and Tier 2

NPS means National Pension scheme.
There are two tiers ( options / choices ) in NPS. Tier 1 and Tier 2.

Tier 1 means you can contribute and get pension or and lumpsum when you retire.
Tier 2 you can contribute and with-draw anytime. There will be a two-day delay in both entry and exit

In each Tier you have the option to chose Active management or Passive management.
In Active management you have the option to specify the allocation percentage. For eg. 70 percentage of you money can be configured to get allocated to Equity. 15 percent to CorporateBond and 15 percentage to Government Bond.

You have the option to make the payment via a CreditCard.

You are not able to contribute in NPS as your PRAN is frozen either, a) due to KYC verification pending / rejected by your Point of Presence (which you have selected for KYC verification during NPS registration), or, b) due to non-submission of physical Form / eSign pending of NPS Application.
