Muhurat trading is the trading activity in the Indian stock market on the auspicious occasion of Diwali (Deepawali), a big festival for the Hindu citizens of India. Usually, it is held during evening hour and is announced by the stock market exchanges notifying traders and investors of the non-scheduled trading hour.This hour is derived from Gujarati culture (dominant sect of people in Dalal Street) who do similar trading on hours of Diwali. This year Muhurat Trading is on 14th November 2020 from 6.00 PM onward.
